News: The Annual General Meeting and Convention was held on May,2010 at Kananaskis, AB. A new president and Vice President was elected (see 'Officers'). The Treasurer and Secretary remain the same.
NEWS: A motion to dissolve the Certifying Partner agreement with PIR Partnerships was put to the floor and it was accepted by the Alberta members. The effective date of the dissolution of TRIA as a Certifying Partner is December 31, 2009 which will enable existing participants to move to another Certifying Partner. See below for alternate Certifying Partners if you wish to learn more about becoming a participant in the PIR Certificate of Recognition program.

Textile Rental Institute of Alberta President, Jim Painter, signed with the Minister of Labor, Murray Smith, as a partner in Health & Safety. TRIA signed with the Minister of Alberta Human Resources and Employment as a Certified Partner. TRIA also signed the first Memorandum of Understanding, (MOU), with the Deputy Minister, Peter Kruselnicki.
On May 28, 2009 a vote was taken and accepted at the Annual General Meeting to dissolve the TRIA participation in the PIR program effective December 31, 2009.
